Hi, I'm Diya Sharma — an ECE student passionate about bridging hardware intelligence with software creativity. From gesture-controlled robots to life-saving IoT wearables.
"I build things that move, sense, and respond — merging embedded systems with machine intelligence."
About Me
I'm a B.Tech student in Electronics and Communication Engineering (AI & Cybernetics) at VIT Bhopal, expected to graduate in 2028. I love the intersection of physical hardware and intelligent software — whether that's a gesture-controlled robotic arm or an IoT safety device that works without any internet.
My work spans computer vision, embedded systems, and data science. I've interned as a Data Science & ML engineer, built real-time systems with ~100ms latency, and was recognized as an internal finalist at the Smart India Hackathon among 950+ participating teams.
Technical Arsenal
From low-level firmware to high-level ML pipelines — here's what I bring to the table.

What I've Built
Real-world hardware meets intelligent software — projects that solve genuine problems.
An IoT wearable that instantly sends a real-time Google Maps location link via SMS on SOS button press. Critically, it works on 2G GSM only — no smartphone or internet required.
A real-time, completely contactless robotic arm controlled entirely by hand gestures — no physical controller required. Uses MediaPipe hand landmark detection fed through OpenCV.
A Chrome extension (Manifest V3) that tracks time spent on social media and helps break the doomscrolling habit with break reminders, custom limits, and streak tracking.
An AI-powered platform that helps users store, organize, and showcase certificates. Users can upload certificates, automatically extract metadata using AI, manage public/private visibility, and generate professional profiles for recruiters and employers.
Giving Back to Code
Contributing to imDarshanGK/AI-dev-assistant as part of GirlScript Summer of Code 2026 — writing documentation and OpenAPI/Swagger specs for a FastAPI backend.
